### 1. How OTA Updates Work (Bypassing App Store Review ⚡)

React Native app binary 2 parts me split hoti hai:
1. **Native Shell Binary (`.ipa` / `.apk`):** Swift, Kotlin, native libraries (Requires App Store review).
2. **JS Bundle & Static Assets (`index.bundle` + images):** Can be updated **Over-The-Air in 2 seconds** via EAS Update / CodePush!

```
[ App Launch ] ➔ Check Cloud CDN for new JS Bundle Hash
                      ├── New Bundle Found? ➔ Download in background ➔ Apply on next launch!
                      └── Match? ➔ Boot cached bundle instantly!
```

---

### 2. EAS Update Channel Routing Architecture

* **Runtime Version:** `1.0.0` (Native code fingerprint check).
*   **Branches & Channels:** `production`, `staging`, `canary`.

```bash
# Push instant bugfix to production users:
eas update --branch production --message "Fix checkout discount code crash"
```

---

### 3. Master Comparison Matrix

| Change Type | Can Be Updated via OTA? | Needs Full App Store Review? |
| :--- | :--- | :--- |
| **Bug fix in React Components / Business Logic**| ✅ **YES (Instant OTA)** | ❌ No |
| **New Native Library (e.g. Added Bluetooth BLE SDK)**| ❌ **NO (Native code changed!)**| ✅ **YES (New Store Binary Required)** |
| **Modified App Permissions (`Info.plist`)**| ❌ NO | ✅ YES |

---

### 4. Interview Ke 3 Sawal Is Topic Se

1. **Apple App Store Review Guidelines (Section 3.3.2) OTA updates allow karti hain kya?** -> Haan! Jab tak JavaScript code app ke original primary purpose ko change nahi karta (Features & UI fixes are 100% compliant).
2. **Runtime Version mismatch hone par kya hota hai?** -> App incompatible OTA update download nahi karegi aur safe fallback bundle par run karegi taaki app crash na ho.
3. **Rollback strategy OTA me kaise execute hoti hai?** -> EAS console / CLI se instantly purane JS bundle update hash ko active point karke.

**Next Topic:** 19. Mobile App Security: SSL Pinning, Secure Keystore Storage & Code Obfuscation (ProGuard)
