### 1. WatermelonDB Architecture (Lazy Observable SQLite 🍉)

Million records phone par load karne par app 100MB RAM nahi leti:
* **Lazy Loading:** Sirf wahi records memory me decode hote hain jo screen par visible hain!
* **RxJS Observables:** Database table me update hote hi React UI automatically re-render hoti hai!

---

### 2. Offline-First Bidirectional Sync Protocol 🔄

```
[ Local SQLite DB ] ── 1. Push Local Dirty Changes ──► [ Cloud Backend API ]
                    ◄── 2. Pull Server Delta Changes ──┘
```

```typescript
import { synchronize } from '@nozbe/watermelondb/sync';
async function syncAppWithServer() {
    await synchronize({
        database,
        pullChanges: async ({ lastPulledAt }) => {
            const response = await fetch(`/api/sync?last_pulled_at=${lastPulledAt}`);
            const { changes, timestamp } = await response.json();
            return { changes, timestamp };
        },
        pushChanges: async ({ changes, lastPulledAt }) => {
            await fetch('/api/sync', {
                method: 'POST',
                body: JSON.stringify({ changes, lastPulledAt })
            });
        }
    });
}
```

---

### 3. Master Comparison Matrix

| Database Engine | Read Speed for 100K Rows | Memory Overhead | Observability |
| :--- | :--- | :--- | :--- |
| **AsyncStorage** | 💥 App Out-Of-Memory Crash | > 200 MB | ❌ None |
| **WatermelonDB (SQLite)**| ⚡ **< 16ms (Lazy Multi-Threading)**| ⚡ **< 15 MB** | 👑 **RxJS Live Reactive** |

---

### 4. Interview Ke 3 Sawal Is Topic Se

1. **Last-Write-Wins (LWW) vs Conflict-Free Replicated Data Types (CRDT) offline sync me kya hote hain?** -> LWW timestamp compare karke latest update select karta hai; CRDTs mathematical rules use karke parallel conflicting edits ko bina data loss merge karte hain.
2. **WatermelonDB multi-threading model kya hai?** -> JavaScript main thread ko block kiye bina C++ SQLite queries separate background worker thread par run hoti hain.
3. **Soft Deletes offline sync me kyu mandatory hote hain?** -> Taaki deleted record ka tombstone (`deleted: true`) cloud server par synchronize kiya ja sake aur doosre devices se record purge ho sake.

**Next Topic:** 15. Native Device Hardware Access: Camera, Geolocation, Biometrics (FaceID/Fingerprint) & Push Notifications
