### 1. The C10K Problem: Nginx vs Apache ⚡

*   **Apache (Process/Thread per Connection - MPM Prefork/Worker):** 10,000 concurrent users $\rightarrow$ 10,000 active threads = **RAM Exhaustion & Context Switching Collapse!**
* **Nginx (Event-Driven Asynchronous Non-Blocking Engine):** Single Worker process Linux `epoll` system call use karke **1 single CPU core par 100,000+ concurrent connections handle karta hai!**

```
[ 100,000 Concurrent HTTP Connections ]
                  ⬇
[ Nginx Master Process ] ➔ Manages Workers
                  ⬇
[ Single Nginx Worker Process ] ===(Linux epoll queue)===➔ Zero Blocking!
```

---

### 2. High-Performance `nginx.conf` Core Tuning

```nginx
user www-data;
worker_processes auto; # Spawns 1 worker per CPU core
worker_rlimit_nofile 65535; # Max open file descriptors
events {
    worker_connections 8192; # Max connections per worker
    use epoll; # Linux high-performance event multiplexing
    multi_accept on;
}
http {
    sendfile on; # Kernel zero-copy file transfer
    tcp_nopush on; # Optimizes packet header delivery
    tcp_nodelay on; # Disables Nagle's algorithm for instant streaming
    keepalive_timeout 65;
}
```

---

### 3. Master Comparison Matrix

---

### 4. Interview Ke 3 Sawal Is Topic Se

1. **`sendfile on;` Linux kernel me performance kaise boost karta hai?** -> Data ko direct disk buffer se network socket buffer me transfer karta hai bina user-space memory me context-copy kiye (Zero-Copy).
2. **Nginx Master process aur Worker process me kya difference hai?** -> Master process root privileges se ports bind karti hai aur configs read karti hai; Worker processes unprivileged user (`www-data`) se incoming HTTP requests process karti hain.
3. **Nginx Zero-Downtime Reload (`nginx -s reload`) kaise kaam karta hai?** -> Master process naye workers spawn karti hai naye config ke sath, aur purane workers ko active connections finish karne ke baad gracefully terminate karti hai.
